Fashionbabica: Inspiracija i uzori?
Nela: Najveću inspiraciju nalazim u glazbi i filmu.
Volim simboliku koju spajam s citatima i stihovima pjesama.
Fashionbabica: Kako izgleda proces nastanka jednog Neha Neha odjevnog predmeta?
Tek poslije karizme dolazi moda.
Fashionbabica: Kako bi opisala vlastiti stil?
Nela: Haharski. Kompulzivno skupljam baseballmajice, bajkerske čizme i kožne jakne.

Neha Neha - when illustrations become fashion!
Meet Nela Kliček, designer who uses textile as canvas
Out of fear that she will not be good enough for the Academy of Fine Arts, untriedillustrator went to study fashion design at theFaculty of Textile Technology. Andit was a good thing it happened so because in the end it turned out that fashion is the area in which this young designer functions the best. Love for drawing led to painting on T-shirts, and today Neha Neha brand contains a wide range of garments from painted shirtsover redesigned shorts to 100% unique NehaNeha pieces, designedand sewn fromhands of Nela Kliček, newcomer from Varazdin, who after a few years of rambling around finally settled down in Zagreb.
Fashionbabica: What does Neha Neha mean ?
Nela: Neha Neha is my nickname earned on one of my ramblings. My dear friends from Israel gave it to me as a joke not knowing they are actually christening a future fashion brand. It's a wonderful coincidence that Neha means love on sanskrt. Love square.
Fashionbabica: How many collection do you have behind?
Nela: I have seven collections made in a little bit over than a year, while brand itself lasts for three years now. Becuase I am a hard worker I tend to produce two collections per season and sometimes they don't even refer to one another. I change my mind and interests a lot and that reflects on my collections which vary from bohemian in the summer and darker and grungey in the winter. But they all have one thing in common and that's redesign and hand painting which is my trademark.
Fashionbabica: Inspiration and role models?
Nela: Movies and music are my biggest inspiration. That's how I developed my love for fashion. I always had an aspiration for the alternative and I even now I feel like I am avoiding the fashion world and stick to my own. But I do appreciate the work of Ossie Clark, Alexander Mcqueen, Vivienne Westwood, sisters from Rodarte and mostly Anna Sui for her excellent ability for fusing different eras and rock and roll inspiration.
Fashionbabica: What kinda woman wears Neha Neha?
Nela: There isn't a specific type, meaning just one woman becuase I am very pleased to say that there is a wide variety of younger girls who buy my clothes and that makes me extremely happy.
Fashionbabica: What kind of materials, patterns and colours do you prefer?
Nela: I mostly use denim to paint on but lately I switched to vintage military shirts. I also use a lot of strech jersey material for sewing baseball shirts. I love to use symbols and combine them with different qoutes and lyrics. I also love to paint the back of the jackets and one of my all time favourite motives is the gang sign from the movie Warriors.
Fashionbabica: How does the making of a Neha Neha clothing article looks like ?
Nela: Pretty chaotic actually and especially when I do redesign. At one point my method of painting clothes was action painting so I just needed a vodka in my hand to have the full Jackson Pollock in New York in the 60ies experience. But when it comes to tailoring and sewing, serenity and patience are crucial and those are the virtues I am still acquiring.
Fashionbabica: Any plans for mens wear?
Nela: I am slowly turning to men's wear because most of the clothes I redesign like denim jackets and military shirts are male clothing articles. I like to "borrow" stuff from guy's department and combine them with more feminine pieces.
Fashionbabica: A woman is most beautiful when she wears…?
Nela: Whatever SHE feels she is the most beautiful in.
Fashionbabica: The fashion scene in Croatia is…?
Nela: Very questionable but there is a number of people I admire but mostly there are younger and not so exposed designer like Chics On Chic who's work I really value, jewellery designer Sonja Zigic behind brand name Emma&Nala, Marko Petrić who presented his work on Modni Ormar, OjoMagico and her wonderful manadalas and many more.
Fashionbabica: What do you think is style?
Nela: Style is confidence, individuality and attitude. First comes charisma then fashion.
Fashionbabica: How would you describe your personal style?
Nela: Badass. I am hording baseball tees, biker boots and leather jackets.
Nela is cooperating with a young singer - songwriter Dunja Ercegović aka Lovely Quinces. Clothing worn by Dunja on stage are the result of Neha Neha factory :)
Fashionbabica:Is style important for a designer, does a designer has to know how to dress??
Nela: Well I think it's important but not critical. I have more respect for a designer who knows how to draw then to dress. When we see designers on fashion shows most of them are dressed pretty basic and practical because working on a show demands that.
Fashionbabica: What's the outfit you can't get enough ?
Nela: My mom's vintage 70ies Levi's jacket, boots and a floral dress.
Fashionbabica: Is there something you would never wear?
Nela: Well, I wore a lot of wacky stuff and since fashion is so shifty it would be very hypocrytical to say I wouldn't wear something so I am keeping my options open. But I have low tolerance for bad materials and that would be the only excluding factor.
Fashionbabica: Any plans for the future?
Nela: Finish school and work, connect with other people and get Neha name brand out there.
