Seitan u umaku od piva
seitan narezan na šnite (debljine 5-10 mm)
1 malo pivo
2 mrkve
1 glavica crvenog/ljubičastog luka
malo brašna
2-3 žličice mljevene slatke crvene paprike
začini papar,sol

Seitan izrezati na šnite, utrljati na svaku malo soli,crvene paprike i papra. Staviti u zdjelu i preliti pivom, ostaviti barem sat vremena. Očistiti i naribati luk i mrkvu. U dubljoj tavi na malo ulja propirjati luk dok ne postane staklast,dodati mrkvu i pirjati još par minuta, dodati seitan i uliti marinadu. Kuhati 10-ak minuta na laganoj vatri. Podliti ostatkom piva, prokuhati još 5-10minuta. Pomiješati 1-2 žlice brašna u malo vode te umiješati kako bi se umak dodatno zgusnuo (ne morate ukoliko vam se sviđa dobivena gustoća). Probati umak i dodati začina po potrebi.

Cut seitan into slices, rub a bit of salt, red pepper and black pepper on each. Put it in a bowl and pour the beer over it, leave at least for an hour. Clean and grate the onion and carrots. In a deep frying pan, on a little bit of oil, fry the onion until it gets glassy, add the carrots and simmer for few minutes, add seitan and pour the marinade. Cook for 10 minutes on low heat. Pour the rest of the beer, boil for another 5-10minutes. Mix 1-2 tablespoons of flour in a little bit of water and add it to the sauce so it would become thicker (but you don’t have to if you like the density). Try the sauce and add seasoning if necessary.
